Burton St Bridge
Location: The bridge over the Thornapple River on Burton St
Estimated Completion: Mid-2026
Funding Source: $3.5 million appropriation of state funding

Construction of the pedestrian bridge over I-96 remains on track for fall 2025. Based on engineering work to date, the $3.5 million appropriation of state funding will cover the entire project with no cost to Cascade residents.  As of July 2025, the project is in permitting and construction is expected to begin near the end of 2025 for completion mid-2026.
