Paid On-Call Personnel

Cascade Township Fire Department is looking for people to join the department.  You must live within eight miles of Station 1 or Station 2. Some of the job requirements are as follows:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must possess a valid Michigan Drivers License with less than four points
• Must be in good physical condition
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must submit to a physical exam, including a drug screen and a physical agility test
• Background check and Drivers record check

Essential functions of the job:

• Perform specialized duties under emergency conditions
• Perform routine work on equipment and buildings
• Drive and operate all fire apparatus and rescue equipment

Basic functions:

• "Team Player" attitude
• Able to lift equipment weighing 50 pounds or more above waist level
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to deal with other fire fighters and the public 
• Good physical condition
