Cascade Township's Board of Trustees adopted a new Zoning Ordinance on February 11, 2026. Subsequently, a petition was filed to place that ordinance on the ballot during the August 4, 2026 election. While this multi-step process continues to unfold, the original Zoning Ordinance remains in effect.

In order to educate residents, Cascade Township will be hosting five Zoning Ballot Language Open Houses throughout June and July (see the events below).  They will be drop in events with no formal presentation where residents can come and ask Township staff and consultants questions related to the Zoning Ordinance ballot language.

The format of these open houses do not take a position on the proposed ballot question and are solely for educational purposes.
