DDA Security Grand (KSN)

 

In July 2026, The Cascade Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA) established a grant program to support businesses within the DDA District that are interested in enrolling their cameras in the Kent Safety Network through the Kent County Sherrif’s Office. This program helps cover associated subscription costs, or the cost of the hardware when not covered by the Kent County Sherrif’s Office.

The program is intended to:

  • Enhance public safety within the DDA district.
  •  Improve situational awareness during emergencies and criminal investigations.
  • Strengthen partnerships between local businesses and law enforcement.
  • Expand the network of available security cameras to assist with incident response while allowing participating businesses to maintain ownership and control of their systems.

It is recommended that interested businesses first reach out to the Kent County Sherrif’s Department regarding available funds and what subscription level is most appropriate for the site.
